After I released my first Dreadlock Crochet Hat Pattern I didn't create another like it for a long time. I worked on shorts, bags, skirts, rompers, etc, until I got the itch to make a beautiful textured loc hat with a few of my favorite stitches.
So, my Alpine Forest Dreadlock Hat was born! (After a bit of trial and error of course, haha)
or scroll for more photos!
🌈 I wanted this hat to have variety of texture, so it's more fun to crochet, and to make it look great in any color(s). Not to mention the most important part: keeping your hair out of the way, and in place, in the most beautiful way :)

Did I point out that there are drawstrings for the front of the hat (to make sure it fits + stays on your head), and the back of the hat (so you have the option of keeping your hair in, or letting it hang out)?
I decided to use bright + contrasting colors to create my first one(above pics), and it sold not too long after! My pattern testers had amazing color choices as well! Check them out below:
Here is one my favorites from my pattern tester Knotty Magic by Phoenix! You can find her on Facebook making all kinds of amazing crochet creations! The hat looks amazing with her dreads, and man... the colors she chose go SO well together!
One of my other amazing pattern testers Susan from @saxyladyks on IG. She decided to use blue, pink, and purple for crochet rasta hat, and I think it fits her SO well! The contrast is so cool!
