Round 3: [*Yarn over, insert hook in st, yarn over, pull through stitch 4 times, then yarn over and pull through all loops on hook, ch 1, sk 1 st*] repeat what’s inside the brackets [ ] around. (24)
The chains you made in Round 3 will count as a stitch in the next round. Your mini crochet sweater ornament should also start folding at this point.
Round 4: Hdc in 8 sts, skip 4 sts, hdc in the next 8 sts, skip 4 sts, sl st into the first hdc you made in this round. (16)
The 4 stitches you are skipping on each side will be the arm holes.
Round 5: Sc in the tl of each st. (16)
Round 6: Sc in each st. (16)
Round 7: Yarn over, insert hook in st, yarn over, pull through stitch 4 times, then yarn over and pull through all loops on hook, ch 1, sk 1 st* repeat around. (16) (The chains you made will count as a stitch in the next round.)
Round 8: Hdc in each st. (16)
Round 9: Sl st in tl of each st. (16)
Fasten off + Sew in Ends.
Sleeves
(TIP - I find it helpful to count to 7 while crocheting my stitches during this whole sleeve portion, because counting around the tiny arm hole can be difficult.)
Round 1: Make a slip knot, put in on your hook, and sl st to the first skipped st on the arm hole. Hdc in the 4 skipped stitches from Round 4, the side of the hdc from Round 4, the bottom of the stitch from Round 5, and the side of the other hdc from Round 4. (7)
Round 2: Sc in tl of each stitch. (If this is too difficult for you, do the sc in the bl). (7)
Rounds 3-5: Sc in each st. (7)
Round 6: Hdc in each st. (7)
Round 7: Sl st in bl of each st. (7)
Fasten off.
Repeat on the other arm hole. You want to keep your seams on the same side, so you might want to start in the 2nd or 3rd skipped stitch.

Making the Loop:
Make a slip knot and put it on your hook. Slip stitch into the middle of a stitch in the center of the top back of your sweater.
Chain 14, then slip stitch into the same spot you originally slip stitched into.
Fasten off and sew in your ends.

Excellent! You’ve thought of EVERYTHING when you wrote this pattern. Yours is better than some well known designers! You can always tell the quality of a designer’s pattern by the free ones they offer. Good Job! I know it’s ALOT of work. ❤️❤️
